Wildcat Athletic Facility - Williamsport, Pennsylvania

The Wildcat Recreation Facility is a renovation and expansion of Penn College’s existing Field House, transforming an underutilized 1999 structure into a dynamic campus recreation hub. Located in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, the project integrates new construction with the existing building to better support NCAA athletics, intramural sports, and student life.
The design emphasizes strong connections between indoor and outdoor spaces, introducing multi-use courts, training areas, and exterior amenities such as tennis courts and workout spaces. A new entrance sequence and bus drop-off redefine the facility as a visible and active campus destination.
Focusing on adaptability and performance, the project incorporates daylighting, water collection, and net-zero strategies. It explores how architecture can enhance wellness, strengthen community, and reimagine an existing facility to meet the evolving needs of Penn College.
